Nature Capital Investment Surveyor

  • Based Scotland

  • Monday – Friday / 38.75 hours per week

  • £50,000 - £55,000 per annum (DOE) + Bonus + Company Car

The advert of the Natural Capital Agenda in Scotland has created demand from clients for investments in land which deliver natural capital outcomes. With this, our client has an innovative new position for a professional with ideas for development of new services in the fields of natural capital focused valuations, property appraisals and consultancy.

Some responsibilities of a Nature Capital Investment Surveyor include:

  • Valuations, advisory services, and consultancy advice reporting.

  • Woodland carbon and natural capital.

  • Delivering advisory services, including on-site surveying for forestry, land, and farms.

  • Liaising with clients seeking to acquire or sell the assets, as well as cultivating potential clients and their intermediaries seeking to service their investments requirements.

  • Providing leadership within the Forestry Investment team on natural capital matters and acting as an internal advocate for natural capital matters.

About You:

Already an experienced professional within natural capital, rural surveying, or senior forestry management, with prior experience in the land-based sector, you have strong commercial acumen and operational experience. With strong relationship management skills, you’re able to build and maintain exceptional rapport with clients. In addition to this, you’ll have:

  • Degree or Diploma in a Natural Capital, Forestry, Land Management and/or Investment related subject(s).

  • Sound knowledge and proven experience of the UK land market and evaluations.

  • Analytical and innovative approach.

  • Professional membership of the Institute of Chartered Foresters &/or a RICS Registered Valuer, or other relevant professional accreditation, such as CFA or CAIA.

  • Full driving licence.
