Landscaping Contracts Manager

  • Based South England

  • Monday – Friday / 38.75 hours per week

  • £35,000 - £40,000 (DOE) + Company Car

Our client has a fantastic opportunity for you to be a key member of their Landscaping team in the role of Landscaping Contracts Management. Covering contracts across the South of England, you will be responsible for the start to finish management of large-scale landscaping (hard & soft), vegetation management, environmental mitigation, and fencing projects.

Some responsibilities of a Landscaping Contracts Manager include:

  • Direct liaison with clients and their representatives, ensuring projects are delivered to client expectations, specifications, programme, and budgets.

  • Monitor and deliver effective cost management against budgets.

  • Compliance with all aspects of Health & safety, environmental and quality standards.

  • Providing leadership and supervision of Site Managers/Supervisors, as well as assigned personnel and contractors.

  • Advocating services within the landscaping sector, developing on going landscaping opportunities.  

  • Assisting Business Development and Estimating teams when required.

About You:

Already an experienced Contracts or Site Manager within the land-based sector, you have extensive experience delivering high quality projects as well as principal contractor project management. In addition to this, you’ll have:

  • Degree or Diploma in Landscaping, or other relevant land-based subject and SMSTS competency.

  • Sound commercial acumen including efficient procurement and accurate cost control abilities.

  • Contractual awareness and experience managing work in accordance with NEC3, NEC4, JCT & JCLI forms of contract.

  • Understanding of Construction (Design & Management) Regulations and experience preparing quality plans and safe systems of work.

  • Up to date knowledge on HSE legislations.

  • Construction Skill Competency Scheme (CSCS)-LISS or FISS sector scheme card(s).

  • Analytical and consultative approach.

  • Good IT literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office programmes.

  • Professional membership of the Institute of Chartered Foresters, or other relevant professional accreditation

  • Full driving licence.
