We have an exciting opportunity for you to be a key member of our clients Southern England forestry team in the role of Forest Manager.
In this role you will be responsible for delivering a professional high-quality woodland management service to existing clients together with other on-going forestry related opportunities, including woodland creation. The role includes building sound client relationships and managing contractors together with day-to-day duties such as the preparation of client estimates, production of reports, implementation of work programmes and grant applications.
About You:
We’re looking for candidates who are highly motivated, driven, enthusiastic, reliable and adaptable. In addition to this, you’ll have:
Relevant academic qualifications.
Strong commercial acumen and at least 2 years’ operational experience.
Experience of working within areas of sensitive habitat and European protected Species (EPS) is beneficial
Strong client relationship management and team working skills.
Experience in managing contractors.
Good knowledge of the UK Forestry Standard and UKWAS.
Practical knowledge of mixed lowland silviculture is essential.
Professional membership of the Institute of Chartered Foresters or another relevant professional body is desirable.
Full UK driving licence
