​As a Contracts Manager within our clients Landscaping division, you will be responsible for delivering a high-quality soft & hard landscaping contracting service for their clients.

Typically, some responsibilities of a Contracts Manager include:

  • Management of large-scale landscaping projects, site clearance, environmental mitigation works, fencing and associated maintenance operations.

  • Liaison with clients, supervision of assigned personnel and contractors.

  • Ensuring compliance with all aspects of Health & Safety, environmental and quality standards.

  • Ensuring projects are delivered to clients' expectations and on budget - monitoring and managing cost control effectively.

  • Assisting with business development and supporting our Estimating team where required.

  • Promoting Tilhill within the landscaping industry and helping to develop on-going landscaping related opportunities.

About You:

Already an experienced Contracts Manager within the land-based sector, you’ll have a wealth of experience in delivering high quality projects and principal contractor project management, in a timely and efficient manner. A motivated, driven, and flexible approach comes naturally to you. In addition, you’ll have:

  • A professional qualification in landscaping, horticulture, forestry or other land-based industry and SMSTS competency.

  • Commercial acumen including accurate cost control, efficient procurement, production of timely valuations, pricing of variations and compensation events.

  • Good contractual awareness including experience of managing works in accordance with NEC3, NEC4, JCT & JCLI forms of contract.

  • Experience of Construction (Design & Management) Regulations and the preparation of quality plans and safe systems of work.

  • Excellent influencing and interpersonal skills.

  • A high attention to detail and problem-solving skills, with a consultative approach.

  • A high level of attention to detail, organisation and time management skills.

  • Good computer skills across all Microsoft programmes.

  • Full driving licence.
